Knowdown ("we", "us") is operated by RIMA Technologies. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Knowdown app and why. Contact: support@playknowdown.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address (used to send your sign-in code) and, if you choose to add it, your phone number.
- Profile data: your display name, the avatar you choose, and your birth month and year. We use your birth month and year only to check that you are at least 13. Other players never see them.
- Game data: your challenges, matches, answers, scores, results, and the time each answer took.
- Safety data: players you block, and reports you send about other players.
- Device data: a notification token for your device so we can send reminders, and basic technical logs (such as errors) to keep the service working.
What other players see
Other players can see your display name and avatar, and the results of games you play with them. They cannot see your email, phone number or birth date.
How we use it
- To run the game: sign you in, match you with opponents, keep score, enforce turn deadlines.
- To send notifications such as a new challenge or a reminder that it is your turn. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- To keep players safe: review reports, apply blocks, and act on abuse or cheating.
- To fix problems and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal data.
Who processes data for us
We use trusted providers to run the service: Supabase (database and sign-in), Resend (sign-in emails), and Google Firebase (push notifications, when enabled). They process data only on our behalf.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and personal data. Some game records may be kept in a way that no longer identifies you. Safety reports may be kept for a reasonable time to protect other players.
Your choices and rights
You can change your display name and avatar in the app, block or report players, and ask us to delete your account and data. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may also have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data. Write to support@playknowdown.com and we will respond.
Children
Knowdown is not for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete it. Parents who believe their child has an account can contact us.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and our database is access-controlled. No service is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers
Our providers may store data in the United States and other countries.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
